About

A place to feel less alone with the ordinary hard parts of being a person.

Why this exists

Most difficulty never reaches a clinic. Work that will not let go, a stretch of bad sleep, a friendship quietly ending, money that does not add up, being far from home. It is rarely severe enough to feel like it warrants help, and it is heavy anyway — and the loneliest part is usually the belief that everyone else is coping fine.

They are not. That is the whole idea behind this site: whatever you are carrying, other people are carrying something close to it right now, and hearing that from someone who means it helps more than being told to cheer up.

How it works

  • Communities first. Groups organised around specific everyday struggles. Join anonymously, read for as long as you like, post when you want to. Reading without posting is a perfectly good way to use this.
  • One-to-one when you want more. If a group is not enough, you can be matched with a single peer whose situation resembles yours. You decide when.
  • Tools for the meantime. Breathing and grounding exercises, journaling, mood check-ins — things you can use on your own at 3am.
  • Crisis resources for your country. Wherever you are, the numbers shown are the ones that will actually answer where you live.

Anonymous on purpose

We do not ask for your real name, and you do not need an email address to join. You choose a username, and that is what other people see. It is easier to be honest when what you say is not attached to the rest of your life. You can add an email later if you want to be told when somebody replies to you — that is all it is ever used for.

What this is not

It is not therapy, and it is not a crisis service. Nobody here is a clinician. This is built for day-to-day stress and struggle — not for moderate or severe mental illness, which deserves proper professional care.

If you are in crisis right now, please use the crisis resources on this site or contact your local emergency services. That is not us passing you along; it is the right kind of help for that moment.

Where this is up to

This is early, and it is a work in progress. Some of it is rough, and some ideas will turn out to be wrong. It is being built with the people who use it rather than at them, so if something is confusing, missing, or could be kinder, we want to hear it — criticism as much as suggestions.

The aim is not scale for its own sake. It is that someone having a hard night finds this, and leaves feeling a little less alone than they arrived.

Questions or something that looks wrong? This is an early-stage project and feedback genuinely changes it.
